I verbalize my love just to sow,
I think we meet at a dream I saw,

After taking some wine,
You blush and gave a silent whine,

Our amour has endeavor,
Much pain or whatsoever,
It just wanted us to be clever,
Perhaps be together forever,

My volatile moods you just quell,
You are forever in my side never to quit,

The night zephyr is so breezy,
To have add infinitum amour isn’t easy,
Am too romantic making you feel cheesy,
Imagine I bought you Pepsi,

Even though you ain’t here,

Your scent all over none to dare,
Your angelic voice is all I hear,

Am in tears since I can’t see you mine,
I wanna see you, even if it is a crime,

Fought with the drug dealer,
For me not to be an addict of taquila,

When your soul is torn I be your healer,

No eye witness to this even one person,
Am not good but I keep up with fashion,

I really miss you my joy,
I got many things to do like chores,
But my mind is in total chaos,
For you being jailed is my cause,

Zama zimerudi tena, kwenye hali ya siasa,

Sasa hawa waungwana, watayamwaga mapesa,

Nami nawaasa sana, kutorudia makosa,

Ama tutakujajuta, kama miaka ya nyuma!

Wengi tulowachaguwa, tukiwadhani wakweli,

Uchumi watainuwa, ziinuke zetu hali,

Katika kila hatuwa, hatukuipata sahali,

Sasa tusije kujuta, kama miaka ya nyuma!

Vyama walivyovijenga, visitutie tamaa,

Heri mtu kujipanga, tukakataa hadaa,

Wametufanya wajinga, na hakuna la kufaa,

Kwayo tusitake juta, kama miaka ya nyuma!

Wengi wako kwa tamaa, na malengo ya binafsi,

Huku wanatuhadaa, kwamba eti wako nasi,

Vyeo wakisha vitwaa, ndio hao huwa basi,

Tusipige tukajuta, kama miaka ya nyuma!

Tuwatizame matendo, tusiyashike maneno,

Asofaa tupa kando, angatowa donge nono,

Huyo kaja kwa mawindo, wako wengi kwa mfano,

Tukiwapa tutajuta, kama miaka ya nyuma!

Kura yako usiuze, jitahidi kuwa wima,

Wakisema wasikize, huku uwe wawapima,

Wasofaa tuwapuuze, hawafai kusimama,

Au sivyo tutajuta, kama miaka ya nyuma!

In my city

The pavements are not perfect

But every corner has a bustling market

In my city

Music is in the hearts and air

But many dreams are strapped on to the chair

In my city

Traffic is chaotic and crazy

And here some go hungry

In my city

Movie stars rub shoulders with the common man

But he is a “star” and this is eventually a “fan”

In my city

Anything can be found on sale on the streets

But you need to be smart, no depth of cheats

In my city

This vendor will sell his items by the end of the day

Glad to have struck a deal in his own way

In my city

There is so much to do

But everything has a price, you pay your chew

In my city

I feel safe wherever I go

But there are alleys where you may get a blow

In my city

The heat and humidity is at times unbearable

But it is here that cold is some times another hurdle

In my city

The pavements may not be perfect

But every road, lane, footpath and garden always does connect

This is NAIROBI… a city of dreams

Live and let live… the aura here screams.

Wewe si mzuri sana, punguza kuniringia

Wazuri nimewaona, sura zao zavutia

Na mengi wewe hauna, ila nimewakimbia

Moyo umekuchagua, kwako ni kama bahati.

Wangapi wamenitaka, watukufu wa tabia

Warembo waloumbika, wakiniona hulia

Nawakataa hakika, ni kwako nakimbilia

Moyo wangu waugua, nimekupenda banati.

Nimesema nakupenda, si vyema kuninunia

Wenzako wananiganda, mapenzi kuyalilia

Nawe waleta mapozi, bahati imekujia

Uache kunizingua,usichezee bahati.

Sina nyumba wala mali,ni mbora wa tabia

Nina mapenzi ya kweli, si kwamba najisifia

Ila najua kujali, kutunza kuhudumia

Juu yako kuchagua, sijesema ya laiti.

Hear the wind roar with its numbing sound,

Nature lions roar as it shakes the ground.

Nature is full of beauty and danger as well,

From radiant meadows to the desert hell.

The ice so cold it can freeze you to the core.

Whilst beautiful snowflakes carpet the floor.

We take nature for granted we see it each day,

And it’s beauty is always on display.

Why are we so  dismissive when trees and flowers bloom,

We walk around in despair and gloom,

Yet all around us fields of gold,

Watching natures beauty unfold.

As it creates patterns so exquisite so precise.

Plants with such fragrant spice.

Perfume that so intense.

That surrounds every sense.

We are surrounded its fragrance captures our soul,

We are hypnotised we have lost control.

As the clouds above pass us by,

Do we look up at the sky?

Do we notice nature at all!

Do we hear it’s wondrous call?

As leaves turn from green into red,

Nature sleeping , it isn’t dead.

Winter spring summer or fall,

It is there , there for us all.
